Text Box: Physiotherapy .................. We have seven physiotherapists who work at *Ascend, including postgraduate Sports and Musculoskeletal physiotherapists. All our physiotherapists have extensive treatment experience and have worked with sporting teams and associations. Regular physiotherapy consultations involve taking a history of your injury, performing assessment and testing to form a diagnosis and providing treatment and a rehabilitation plan that is tailored to your injury, your body and your goals. Other services our physios perform include gym technique assessments, exercise prescription and post-operative rehabilitation. Not sure if your injury is something which can be managed with physiotherapy? You may be surprised! Call us to ask. Our physiotherapists are committed to being up to date with the latest evidence in sports medicine and pain management, we all undertake regular professional development, and two of our physios are even carrying out their PhDs. Postgraduate physiotherapists have completed a masters degree in their relevant field, while our senior physiotherapists have over ten years experience. Fees as at May 2010: Postgraduate Physiotherapy - $120 initial (1 hour), $80 follow up Senior Physiotherapy - $70 initial and follow up (30 mins) Physiotherapy - $65 initial (30mins - 1 hour) and 30 mins follow up Massage .......... We have three massage therapists operating at the clinic, all fully qualified with diplomas of remedial massage, which means your massage therapy can be claimed on private health insurance. Massage rates are $70 for a one hour massage. Dietetics and Sports Medicine ......................................
