Congratulations to all those who just completed the Busselton Half Ironman. It’s a busy time of year with loads of people preparing for triathlons, the hbf Run for a Reason and winter sports season in full swing. In case you didn’t know, with our physiotherapists working for the Emirates Western Force, Academy, state and club teams, Ascend is the best place to get any rugby injuries assessed.

Congratulations to Neil Altheer for winning half a dozen bottles of wine for filling out our latest survey! Thanks to all who provided valuable feedback - the very positive comments suggest we continue to provide great service, and we will be making further improvements to the clinic in the months to come.

WELCOME BACK! Jacinta Downey, one of our long time physios, has just returned from a year living in Ghana, where she managed to even have a baby named after her! Great to have Jacinta back.

Alison Low, partner and Sports Physiotherapist, has just had a well deserved (brief!) break in Hong Kong, and will be back in the clinic from mid May.

Peter Gregory, managing partner, is working three days a week in the clinic in addition to further study in the Master of Clinical Physiotherapy program at Curtin Uni.

Linda Spagnolo, musculoskeletal physiotherapist, has been busy at the clinic in addition to University tutoring and a hefty running/training schedule, and is the go-to person for all things cycling, as the WAIS preferred provider for the cycling team.

Ben Mather, physiotherapist, splits his time between Ascend, working as a physio for the Emirates Western Force and the RugbyWA Academy. Ben is also working through his Masters degree.

Jo Norcott, sports physiotherapist, continues to work with WAIS gymnastics and diving as well as research projects into injury risk factors and management in these sports.

Chris Perrey, physiotherapist, is full time at the clinic and is the physiotherapist for Cottesloe rugby club this season. He has also just covered kinesio taping at the Busselton Half.

Evan Coopes, musculoskeletal physiotherapist, will soon be back in at Ascend having taken some time to work on his lecturing and Doctorate studies at Curtin University.
